Such an amazing futuristic and BIG airplane. I remeber back in 04' whern the program commenced and was announced as a sure fire plan. Sigh! My baby is all grown up now.
Southwest Airlines-"Once it pop's it's time to stop" Southwest Airlines-"Our Shamu's are almost real" Southwest Airlines -"We blow our top real easy" Southwest Airlines- "You can't top us..... really"
Amazing. Can't believe the rollout is less than 2 weeks from today.
I have to say it looks a little stubby. The wings and engines are sexy though. I think the -900 and -1000 versions will look even nicer.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9
What a cool airplane! I also remember when it was announced, probably my favorite airplane because it is the first I really followed from announcement to rollout.
nwa FOREVER!
Is it me, or does the 787 have HUGE engines?
I'm sitting here looking at those pictures thinking that Tommy Alfano will be there next Sunday...and...quietly cursing him!

LOLOLOLOL That's to dam funny Mark! I'm very excited and honored to be there. I fundamentally believe I'll be witnessing history as its born. This plane is going to change the course of air travel for the next 50 years and its exciting to be part of it.Originally Posted by MarkLawrence
The plane looks great. The engines look HUGE, but the nose looks a little more stubby than I expected. Almost looks like it'snot aerodynamic. But I like that it droops down some like a 757 or a Comet.

it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.
No, that's the rollout. I think the first flight is in September or October.Originally Posted by cancidas

It was to be like early/mid August now it's been pushed to like mid/end of September. I'm still planning on being up there.Originally Posted by Phil D.
