Five Men Detained at EWR

Five men aboard AA1874 (MD80) were detained and then released after landing at EWR. They apparently had flight manuals that they were reading from when a flight attendant saw and became worried, raising alarm.

They are said to be Arab and to have been members of another airline, or have just taken a helciopter course.

The reports tonight said they were an Israeli and 4 Angolan military personnel who had taken a helicopter training class in Texas. And you wonder why we get questioned when we're out spotting?

I have to find my old KC-135 manuals - I need some reading materials for my next flight :-)
