Airbus introduced the world's largest passenger jet to the United States by simultaneously landing two copies of their new A380 Super Jumbo at both JFK Airport and Los Angeles International Airport.
The Reunion-based carrier made headlines in 2009 when it ordered the aircraft, which they pledged to fill with 840 economy class seats, which would have given them the highest capacity of any commercial aircraft ever built.
Airbus could increase the range of its A330-300 jet by 400 nm within a few years in an effort to better compete with Boeing and fill a gap in its own product line.
