Lufthansa Heist 1978 at JFK

In 1978, I was not yet a spotter. It was seeing the elegant Concordes starting in 1979, that got me hooked on spotting. It is strange that the infamous Lufthansa Cargo Heist of Dec. 1978 was just solved this week.How quickly it was solved after only 35 yrs. So much about spotting has changed since then. It is much, much harder nowadays and not as much fun. Public observation decks are now fading memories. Anyway, glad the case was finally solved and let's try to recall those days of 747s, TriStars,707s, and the rest.

The Long Arm of the Law reaches out 35 years later!! I believe they always KNEW who did it just didnt have enough solid evidence!! Talk about perseverance!!
