Each year the Collings Foundation tours the United States with their B-17G, B-24J, and TP-51C on the Wings of Freedom tour. We caught up with them recently at a tour stop in Connecticut.

I remember when they were raising $ for their Liberator. Eventually the aircraft was restored and they flew it around. My dad caught it on Long Island where he was able to see his old warplane up close; I caught it when it came to Purdue(LAF) in 1997 with its B-17 companion. My roommate in college happened to be from Stow and knew the owners. What a great organization
