    They sure waited till the last minute. Down in Philly we've been discussing the likelihood of losing the US hub in PHL vs. CLT. Personally, I see the Philly hub going away because it's too close to JFK. If that happens, I hope PHL doesn't turn into PIT

    I suspect this isn't a surprise to AA or US. It's likely there have been discussions on-going about divesting slots or other accommodations that the DOJ wants to see, and they couldn't come to an agreement, so they filed the law suit. I also suspect this will cause AA and US to be a bit more flexible in arriving at a settlement.
