I'm going to be in the Charlotte area and I was wondering if anyone could recommend some good spotting areas?
Thanx

When are you going to be in town? I'll try to meet up with you and show you the sights. You don't want to miss the Lufthansa Lady...

It's like people don't even try to do a little research online for an airport. Could just scroll down and find numerous CLT threads. But, folks just be lazy and come here and ask.
Don: Go to the overlook. Extra time? Go look at Sully's float plane at the museum. That's CLT spotting for 90% of the crowd. You wanna get crazy? Try walking 5 minutes from the overlook toward the terminal on the two lane road to get 18C arrivals over your head and 36C departures over your head. I enjoy taking photos of aircraft queuing for 18C. Get even crazier and ride over in a car with a ladder and go shoot over the fence from the south west side of 18L/36R.
Regards from a seasoned CLT photog.
I'm actually staying in Asheville, the week of Aug 12-. My plan is to drive over to CLT for a day. I'm gonna follow the weather and pick a day accordingly. I'll message you guys through nyca as soon as I know when I'll be there. I heard a lot about that Lufthansa Lady. lol! Strange obsession I guess.
BTW, I didn't plan any spotting for the Asheville Airpot because my guess is thing are pretty quiet there except for occasional RJ activity.
