A few weeks ago I got to experience a backstage tour of the MIA, including a brief excursion air side! What fun! If only I had remembered to whip out my camera, but alas I was just too giddy at the time. I did manage to get a couple of shots in, which I'll share with you now.

Here is a AA plane being pulled by a fast tug.Notice the front gear up on the back of the tug.

Here is the old National Airlines hanger. You can see the part where the nose of a 747 fits into the back wall.

As we turned to the north side of the field, we passed this Dreamlifter parked in the cargo area.

These were taken from inside one of the smaller, ground towers (vs. the FAA tower) at the airport. They are responsible for managing gate assignments and helping the FAA tower see over parts of the terminal building.
