    JFK 3-23-13

Here are a few of my first plane spotting shots. Putting a new D800 through its paces and working on incorporating the huge filesize into my workflow. Trying to see if I want another one or another D3s. Single Card D700s are being retired. Lens was Sigma 120-300 2.8 OS. Was relaxing and fun!

Congrats on your D800! Nice shots all around and the BA looks sweet. Working with RAW files of that size has to be challenging and must consume more time as well. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, for your first time out those shots are real nice! Enjoy the 800(although I can't say I envy those file sizes- are you at least working with lossless compressed?) Think I'll stick with my D700 and D90

I was wondering about that Sigma, it looks like it's pretty sharp. Hope it doesn't give you any problems mounted to your Nikon like my 150-500mm sometimes does
