I'm starting to wonder if Delta is expanding too fast. There are easily the "busiest" airline these days in terms of making moves, but I hope for their sake it isn't too fast.

I could be wrong, but I've always felt Seattle is a bit underserved when it comes to international routes. I know the major gateway of YVR is just up the road, but I can also tell you that because of the taxes and border crossing, etc...I don't know too many people who will drive or fly up to YVR to head overseas. The upgrades really seem to be solidifying SEA as a large focus-city. And I like that.

Despite the expansion announcements of the past few days, they're quietly cutting a bunch of Europe routes out of Atlanta, which I guess is how they have extra planes for all these other routes. They already dropped Athens, Copenhagen, Moscow, Prague and Tel Aviv and will also drop ATL-BCN and ATL-MXP.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9
