Hawaiian Airbus A330 Arrival into AUS - Photos

On May 17, 2012, Hawaiian Airlines took delivery of its newest aircraft in Austin, TX. Sounds weird, right? Well there is a reason. There is a conference going on in Austin through the weekend. At this conference are several airline CEO's, including JetBlue, Hawaiian, and Lufthansa. The plane stopped in Austin before its flight to JFK to drop off its high profile passengers. It then made its way to JFK. Since JetBlue will be handing the airport and ground operations when Hawaiian starts operations on June 5; the crews will need training on handling an A330.

Anyways, I got wind of the A330 heading into Austin on Thursday. I decided to hop a Southwest flight and try to catch the arrival and departure. I arranged with Austin Airport Operations and the JetBlue staff working the flight to escort me into position. Everyone was extremely accommodating. Below are some of the photos that I took of the aircraft as it arrived and departed Austin.

Timothy........great coverage on the Hawaiian arriving in Austin, TX. The 2nd and 4th shots are my favorite from the series. I was able to catch her when she arrived to JFK.
