    JFK 01/09/2012

Just a couple of night shots while waiting for Eva.

This lens, while very sharp, is of an older design and the flaws show readily at night with strong light sources directly in the scene... it flares a lot and internal reflections are poorly controlled. Time to check out the new VR-II Nano Coated version.

Manny.......very nice! I traded in my 70-200mm f/2.8 VR I and upgraded to the VR II. In my opinion the VR II performs like a champ.

Other than the focus breathing issue, I am sure it is a winner! I just can't see myself losing so much money on a lens that still performs admirable as long as I shield the front elements from strong lights...

    anybody want a Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 VR I cheap?

If it said Canon on it I would... All joking aside, I am in the market for something in that zoom range with f/2.8, just for Canon mount. Guess I'll be paying full price. haha
