    AF ending EWR 3/24/12

I dont know if this is true but i found this on wikipedia.org... If AF did end CDG-EWR-CDG. im guessing UA or DL would cover for CDG

When AF stopped servicing PHL couple years back I believe it was US that took over the slot

My money would be on Unicon doing it at EWR

I would imagine DL has a pretty crappy FF base west of the river and most of the corporate contracts from northern NJ are with CO/UA. I can see DL putting their metal onto the route (a la EWR-AMS once KL handed it off), but I think that would depend simply on whether or not DL has an aircraft available. If I were Skyteam, I'd try to keep a presence on EWR-CDG, since EWR is still a pretty big market, and AF does good business running pax over CDG to Africa and the Middle East (BEY, especially), with a little bit of throughput to India, as well.
