    Lufthansa to Fly A380 on MUC-JFK in December

    Lufthansa will launch the first scheduled A380 service out of Munich this December with flights to JFK.

    It only lasts a week, apparently aimed at Christmas shoppers. They may also be trying to beat Emirates for the right to claim the first A380 service at Munich, as their flights to DXB start in January.

    Note that the A380-serviced JFK-FRA service will return to A340-600 for the winter sched, so these Munich flights will be the only LH whalejets around for awhile.
