    JFK 3-12-2011

I happened to be in the area this afternoon and was lucky enough to stop and catch the Air France A380 landing at JFK. Now maybe my luck will change and I can catch the Luftansa.

And these while I was waiting

Thanks. it is my favorite that comes into JFK. First time I shot it was back in 08 and then two days later I flew on it.

Spent my afternoon at JFK, was surprised nobody else was out and about. Temps were in the mid 50's, and aside from a nasty cloud bank between 1 & 2pm it was a beautiful and PRODUCTIVE day.
A few specials, and some new schemes that I can cross off my list.

Eva Air Cargo started my day

    AA's Astrojet

Eagle CRJ - I knew they went to LGA, but now JFK too?

    jetBlue 10th

    NCA's Green Freighter

    Finnair's new clothes

    Finnair's old clothes

    Cathay's Silver Bullet

ANA B777-300 (late arrival due to the horrific events in Japan)

    Qantas A330...finally

TAM A330 into the setting sun

I knew I should have come down! I could have gotten Manny's Finn MD-11 and a few things I've never seen before.

Wow John, nice set... I decided to chance it today instead of yesterday (have to pay back at home LOL) and now the nasty clouds are here... looks like yesterday was a better day cloud wise. The NCA I have been after and never caught and Silver Bullet I have in various back lit situations ha!

I imagine NCA and Asiana Cargo will be busy for some time ferrying supplies to Japan... I have been glued to NHK all day and night and I don't speak Japanese!
