WOW this really sucks for multiple reasons:
    1. Boeing is letting Airbus close the gap even more between 787 deliveries and A350 deliveries (barring any delays for Airbus)
    2. Since Everett (KPAE) is already overcrowded with 747/767/777/787 airframes waiting for delivery, I can only imaging Boeing is going to shutdown the 787 production line. Thus I can foresee layoffs/furloughs in the interim for workers on that line.
    3. Boeing is going to take an even greater hit in missing delivery dates and thus more of a monetary hit in late penalties and also stock price.
    4. Finally, as a spotter in the Seattle area I am disappointed in not seeing a delivery until possibly 2012.

    A sad day for Boeing.

We were at Everett yesterday and the Boeing marketing guy said this was rehash of previously announced delays - we'll see! Saw ALOT of 787's in ANA colors. LN 27 28 and 29 in final assembly (2 for Air India, 1 for JAL)

How'd ya like the weather we drummed up? Pure crap for the arrival of the CO 753, which I really would have like to get a decent shot of. As it turns out, Matt Cawby's photo turned out a tone better than mine did. http://paineairport.com/kpae3266.htm

Would you please have Matt contact me off line or via PM? I'd like to get the original file of that photo for the photo record of the whole trip.

The captain said that we were very close to not landing there...I can tell you I didn't see the ground until we were close to the threshhold.

    Thanks!

I am not that close to Matt. He probably be contacted via http://www.paineairport.com or http://kpae.blogspot.com. I would be happy to share mine, but there is one small problem with focusing. Turns out all I can see is the outline of the plane due to issues.

Yeah we didn't see the plane until it was directly in front of us on the hill. Was kind of eerie in a way hearing the plane without seeing it.

All is well - turns out the event organizers had requested that shot, and are licensed to use it. I thought I would arrange that for them but they beat me to it.
