Wonder if this was a Lynden Air Cargo jet?
The terrain around Kabul, especially to the East, is very mountainous. Some of the mountains are up to 14,000'.
Plane belonged to Transafrik, based out of Angola, operating on behalf of Orchard Park, NY-based National Air Cargo.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
