I visited the USS Iwo Iwo Jima yesterday. It wasn't crowded. On the flight deck is a Harrier AV-8B, MV-22B Osprey, CH-53E Super Stallion, AH-1W Cobra and a UH-lN Huey. Visitors are allowed to board the craft and sit in the cockpit for photo ops. The ship will be closed Sunday but is open Sat., Mon. and Tues. If you go, don't miss the Well Deck where they keep the hovercraft. Bring the kids as they can handle the weapons and ammos.
