This is rather interesting.... I think this is the first time the 75 has ever served a Canadian carrier.

You would know them as Air Canada Jazz.

This will be an intresting Hybrid. I called a friend of mine still in Sarasota to see if they had gotten calls about this and appraently SRQ was on a list of possible cities to see the 757 during season but as it is Air Canada already serves SRQ with the 190 so we shall see. I would love to see international 757 flights from SRQ again. Canada 3000 used to fly the 757 there and on occasion we would get the A330 there as well. I remember seeing the 330 climbing out of SRQ once or twice as a kid. At one point Continental and Sun Country served SRQ with DC-10's both of them as through services from RSW.

Pretty sure Skyservice held this contract 'til they went out of business.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

It'll likely only be another Thomas Cook hybrid. I'm sick of that TCX livery already not to mention Condor, Skyservice, Apple Vacations and all these TCX hybrids. It's only for the winter season so looks like the tail and fuselage bottom will still keep on the ugly Cooky scheme.

    757s in Canada:

    Air Maestro (op by Skyservice)
    Skyservice
    Sunwing (op. by Skyservice)
    Harmony
    Odyssey
    Nationair
    Air Transat
    Canada 3000
    Royal
    Zoom
    Cargojet

edited to add Cargojet! -the 727s might not last much longer

    Re: Jazz Boeing 757..

The arrangement for B757s to go from Thomas Cooke and other UK airlines (Airtours, My Travel, First Choice, Air 2000 and so on to go on winter lease to Canada has been around for many years. A320's also play a part in the swapping around - Canadian (Skyservice) A320's and B757's also came to the UK for our summer peak season. I think a Skyservice A330 was also involved at one time. The same arrangment has been used with US airlines - Miami Air swapped regularly with the UK holiday airline XL before it bit the dust and Ryan International has also taken a few UK planes during our winter
