Chefs Call Proposed New York Salt Ban 'Absurd'

    No salt!

First they took away cigarettes & people said nothing
Then they took away soda, yet people said nothing.
    They took away salt
Finally, they are going take away our butter & bacon!

Some New York City chefs and restaurant owners are taking aim at a bill introduced in the New York Legislature that, if passed, would ban the use of salt in restaurant cooking.

"No owner or operator of a restaurant in this state shall use salt in any form in the preparation of any food for consumption by customers of such restaurant, including food prepared to be consumed on the premises of such restaurant or off of such premises," the bill, A. 10129 , states in part.

The legislation, which Assemblyman Felix Ortiz , D-Brooklyn, introduced on March 5, would fine restaurants $1,000 for each violation.

Are they mother ****ing kidding !? Seriously.... What the **** are they doing? And you cannot cook with salt anyway. There is no way this will go through. Do these asses think they are ****ing Dr's or somthing? Let people make their own judgements on what to consume.

I don't understnad what the problem is for salt. It's not bad for everyone. In fact, we kinda need it to survive.

Kind of reminds me when Chicago banned Fois Gras. Dumb.

Wasnt there a reference in Family Guy or a similar show that included a message along the lines of....

"Childhood obesity is good for society as it keeps the child molestation rate down....because really, who wants to **** a fat kid"?

Really though...next they're going to find out that food ITSELF makes people obese and they'll put a ban on that too...
