I am currently in Istanbul, Turkey right now and on my way over on Aer Lingus to LHR, via SNN, I had a 24 hour layover at Heathrow before continuing onto Turkey on a British Airways 767-300. Heathrow continues to impress me with the great spotting locations and awesome traffic. The weather was pretty decent for the most part and the evening light was the best I've seen in London.

I caught some of the newer traffic to Heathrow including the Kingfish A330-200, Oman Air A330-200, TAM 777-300ER and the Emirates A380. Unfortunately the Arik Air A340-500 arrived during a cloudy patch but I have two more chances to catch it when I return to Heathrow in a few weeks. I also caught two retro schemes and a brand new British Airways 777-200. Posted are some of the more interesting traffic (ordered by name).

Lovely stuff.

First time I've seen that Sri Lankan livery. Really sharp. I have an A340-300 kit, I'm now seriously thinking of getting some decals together!

Gotta love the Heathrow variety. I had fun when I went back in Feb. And I was in Terminal 4!

Good catch with the KLM Retro-jet.

The EK 380 shot is a Heathrow classic. Rooftops + Aircraft = Heathrow.
