    USMC V-22's TEB

As mentioned in the fleetweek thread, two V-22's from VM-162 are at TEB for fleetweek. The crew told me that Geraldo Rivera will be doing something about the aircraft tommorow am so it might be on Foxnews. I just missed being able to fly on one of these when I was in the Marines. I went to Iraq with HMM-263 and they converted to the V-22 right after we returned.

That's on the new Dassault ramp heading down towards the Tower/museum, right? 166721/YS-07 from VMM-162 was at the Andrews show last weekend.

i guess it's true that helicopters fly because they're so ugly the earth just repels them...

how big is the "cabin" of the V-22? sure looks cramped in that last pic.
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

Yes it does look tight. Is The Osprey smaller than a Chinook or Stallion? Looks like it.

One of the V-22's did an awesome flyby just now at Citifield, it then turned westbound just south of LGA, over mid-town then up the hudson for a ways then appeared to head for TEB. I have never seen one in flight before, the sight of those giant blades turning at least it looked like slowly was an awesome sight, one of the cooler flyover's I have witnessed at Shea/Citifield over the years.

I was at the game, sadly it flew right over the seats down the right field line and we were covered by an overhang that blocked our view until it had well passed. I think the plan was for two Ospreys, wonder what happened to the second one. Also, I expected it to be a lot louder.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

Cool and I see they flew as a fixed wing and not a rotorcraft.

    Re: USMC V-22's TEB

The whole USMC flotilla thankfully stuck around until Sunday morning, when I was able to catch them at TEB. I need a little help, though. Did anyone grab the serial of the MV-22 marked YS-05 or of the two AH-1s on the same ramp? There were 3 CH-46s - 154815 (MQ-426), 156444 (MQ-424), and 153395 (no modex). The AH-1s and the first 2 CH-46s departed around 1230 .
