National Airlines DC-8-71 N872SJ SWF (PIX)

I went to SWF to shoot the National Airlines DC-8-71 N872SJ at SWF. It arrived at 10:30am from EINN and departed at 12:20PM for KYIP. A recent start up airline that came from Murray Air based out of KYIP.
What a disappointment that I missed the EL AL 737 Amazing how one can go months with out getting anything good and then two day everything comes in. I was so preoccupied with that DC-8 that I didn't even see the ELY from KSEA AAAAARGH!

Nice shots Senga, beautiful bird on a beautiful day. I had no idea Murray Air had been rebranded as National Airlines, not a bad livery.

    That is pretty hot.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

    Thanks,
For me I am not really big on those grey, silver painted planes and "Cheatwaves" as this planes has. I wish they would just keep them painted bare metal if they can like AAL. I must say I do love the way the logo was applied.
This Airline has a good chance of being the last US Start up to use a DC-8. Then again maybe now with UPS letting go of their DC-8s there might be more.
