Air India to Axe LHR-EWR, Start FRA-EWR

From the summer 2009 season Air India will be axing their BOM-LHR-EWR flights in favor of a BOM-FRA-EWR flight.

This will mark the end of Air India's nearly 54 years flying between London and New York!

Sad to see the LHR-New York route go, but it might give me a chance to fly AI over the summer to Poland. However, I would favor their 77L as opposed to the 744.

I also believe that after all these years, there are no longer any Air India B744's into JFK. They now use only B773's.
