it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.
The tailcones are transported by truck between Edwards and KSC, if I recall correctly. The SCA is a joy to watch with an orbiter attached. We'd always see them fly over our house in Orlando on approach to TTS.
Does anyone remember when they did a fly over of Manhattan? They buzzed pretty low and did a circle around I think the Statue and Empire State Building. There were pictures in all the papers. I actually got to see it briefly as they passed over the Upper East Side. Cant remember the year though. Anyone?
