    Discontinued Airline Routes/Station Closures

I started this thread because as we all know, airlines are cutting service left and right...so why don't we have a thread for these discontinued routes and cities that an airline pulls out of. I'll start:

Continental is pulling out of JFK completely along with HPN. This service ends October 2.

US Airways is also pulling out of Panama City, FL after only four months of service in September.

Looks like American Eagle will be done at LGA soon.

This is a seasonal closeure due to demand, one of my home airports (in law) SDQ is closing from early Sept till Dec 20th.

    Hi !

I heard that Air Berlin ist closing the DUS-JFK-DUS route only in the winter and will fly again in spring, but it is not easy for them with LH flying DUS-EWR-DUS with A340...

I'm serious when I say that most of these warrant their own threads. Discuss what's been mentioned here, but please utilize the rest of the News forum for some of these route changes.

Would NCA be pulling out of JFK altogether? I know they have a big facility here that includes handling for other freighters as well as dispatch and crew scheduling for their own aircraft. I believe they do all of their US sales and brokering here as well.
