Delta EWR Flight Diverts to SYR, Replacement Bus Crashes

This happened a couple weeks ago, but I just read about it today.

An SLC-EWR flight diverted to Syracuse on June 28th due to storms in the NYC area...and the plane LEFT. Stranded passengers had the option of taking the 5 hour bus ride to Newark, or waiting 2 DAYS for a plane to pick them up. A dozen of those who opted for the bus ended up in the hospital...the bus crashed on I-80 in northeastern PA, killing the driver.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

    Holy dit Batman...

I'm assuming that Delta will claim that they are not liable for damages, though I wonder if that really is the case...

I'm sure they will be named in any lawsuits that a filed, although I assume they are hoping the bus company they hired has insurance that will cover any claims.

    wow! that's just wrong...
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.
