    United Pilots 'Enormously Concerned' About US Merger

    United pilots assail potential combination with US Airways

    CHICAGO - United Airlines pilots are "enormously concerned" about a possible pairing with US Airways that they say would be a bad move for United.

    The United branch of the Air Line Pilots Association issued its harsh criticism in a statement Tuesday. It comes as the companies continue negotiating toward a possible deal.

    The group representing about 7,000 pilots of UAL Corp. (nasdaq: UAUA - news - people )-owned United cites the difficulties with pilot seniority integration at US Airways as only one reason for its concerns. [Full Article]

    If UA ans US merge will they still look to pick up the A340's for the China route or will they just use a UA 777?
