    Port Authority Funding $5 Million Study of JFK Taxiways

    Port Authority is expected to clear airport-taxiway study

    The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Board of Commissioners is scheduled today to vote on a project designed to ease runway congestion at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport.

    The $5 million effort is part of a $150 million Runway Access Improvements/JFK Delay Reduction Program approved by the commissioners more than a year ago. Among the options: the extension and reconfiguration of some taxiways and the construction of new ones. [Full article]

    They are begining work on a new Taxiway this July if I'm correct. From what I've heard the triple hangars will be torn down. The only reason they are builing this is to park planes waiting to depart 22.

    we culd use one of these at LGA. if they started taking over more real estate from the bay they could build a new taxiway on the far side of 31 for departures. ah, dreams...
    it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

    lol and thats all they every will be, just like a new runway at EWR

    there are no fish in flushing bay, jsut beer bottles...
