March 10, 2008 -- A Polish airliner carrying Prime Minister Donald Tusk was diverted to a remote area of Kennedy Airport yesterday after an anonymous caller phoned in a bomb threat.

Authorities checked the Lot Polish Airliner after it landed at 5:40 p.m., but nothing was found, a Port Authority spokesman said. [Full Article]
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

this was in the polish papers here the day after the incident. some idiot called the NYC LOT offices apparently. at least the papers has a nice shot of SP-LOA.
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

I was wondering about that when I saw it from Rockaway Blvd. My dad was going to the event, and he said as soon as the LOT flight lands, we need to go. Caught it form Firestone, and then driving on Rockaway, we saw the plane taking away from the terminals, to, what looked to be around the fire men's training area. I noted that, but thought it was only so the PM can get off, and then the plane would take to the terminal with the pax.
Anyway, when my dad got back, he told me the pres asked the PM [roughly translated] "was it risky to fly on a pax flight, regarding the bomb threat." wow!
Next time they need to bring the TU-154
anyway, I'm grad there was no bomb, everything ended safely.
