    Strange 737 at JFK

I was at work speaking with a coworker this morning when I saw a 737 departing off of 31L. I walked to the window and saw a strange pane that seem to be a 737-800 with winglets that was all gray/silver with a strange greenish stripe towards the front.

    It kinda looked like this.

    Anyone have any idea?

    Something like this, maybe?

It was shot at JFK last month, according to the remarks, it's Caribbean Airlines leased from Transavia.

I think that just might be it. I was backlit and couldn't see ALL detail, but that is close enough to convince me!

    Thanks Moose!

Sounds like the new transavia scheme.

I thought they just changed their name. If they are leasing from Transavia that would be a cool hybrid!

Technically, BWIA shut down their operations, fired everyone, and then re-hired them at much lower wages to save money. Nice guys, huh?

Phil just about all the U.S carrier did that with wages over the past few years, not fired ppl but cut wages. AA, CO, US, Delta, UAL, NWA, all demanded pay cuts. Hell NWA fired all their MX workers since they walked out. Sadly its part of an industry that is always running on the edge of loses.

So true, it's a sad commentary to people that work in this biz for not the greatest pay, dealing with the public and sometimes getting laid off or wage cuts.

Technically not, they hired replacement workers but the MX workers previously there still retained seniority and once the strike officially ended, NW offered them either to get their job back at the agreed wages with the union, or quit with a very large sum of money as a payout.

    But yeah, sounds like Transavia.
    nwa FOREVER!
