EWR Operations with a Gusty NW Wind ?
On a day like today, with a wind at 300 gusting up to 40, how do EWR aircraft operate? Do they all circle to land on Rwy 29 or do they use another procedure? What about departures? Since there is only 1 runway 29 (no left or right) wouldn't using Rwy 29 cause enormous flight delays? I was just wondering.

Right now, landings are ILS 22L circle to land 29. Departures are 22R. I'm not entirely sure how EWR's traffic patterns work, but this can't be a great configuration...circling approaches take awhile, but at least takeoffs and landings are on separate runways...
