Schwan's, the corporation that owns the Red Baron Squadron, who has performed at the Jones Beach Airshow in past years, has decided to retire the team. This is seen as a huge blow to the aviation and airshow communities, as the Red Barons are among the finest group of pilots as well as one of the greatest formation aerobatic teams on the airshow circuit.

Ed Shipley, founder of AirShowBuzz.com, has initiated a petition that anyone can sign on the forums section of ASB. I urge you to include your signature on this petition if you have not done so yourself. Even if you have never seen them perform, I still urge you to sign the petition in order to keep this aviation and airshow icon alive and FLYING.
