This would be the second engine-related incident on an MD-80 within the week. A Delta MD-88 had engine problems at IND earlier this week. I wonder when the media will go on an MD-80 bashing frenzy similar to all the Q-400 propoganda.

We had an AA MD80 STL-DCA divert to CMH yesterday due to smoke in the cockpit, all was fine.

Ironically both AA MD80 problems, originated in STL :shock:
