A few shots from the last few days

A few shots over the last few days in the area.
Today I also took note of a B-17 flying in formation with a PAPD Helicopter. They were flying down the Hudson River as I was traveling on the GW Bridge to EWR.
    MCO-HPN 9-12

    EWR 9-16

    JFK 9-14

    nikon50bigma,
It was MCO just a few mins before pushback.
    I flew MCO-HPN
    JBU A320 N644JB

    Thanks Phil,
I missed the best angle thx to being stuck as the blasted traffic light. I haven't seen a ABX DC-8 in a while. One of my fav planes.

now that would have been a awesome shot! come to think of it, that's the first time in about 10 years that i've heard of a helo flying a formation with a fixed wing airplane. last time i did it was about 6 years ago. i was in a -60 and my CO was in a C210 with the door removed. his son was a pretty decent photographer and took a few shots of us for my CO's office. they came out great even though he had canon equipment. i'll see if i can get some copies to show you all, there's even shots of us in a 4-ship formation.
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

It was a site to see. They were really close together. It wasn't safe to pull over anywhere to get some shots.
