    Fleet Week Starts May 23rd

Fleet Week is only a few days away. I remember last year there were a few events involving military aircraft. Anyone know what's going on this year?

Not sure how up to date that is. On the participating aircraft tab, they included this:

Four F-14 Tomcats from Fighter Squadron 31 - The Navy's sole Fleet Replacement Squadron for the F-14 Tomcat. The squadron trains pilots, aircrew and maintenance personnel in the operation and employment of the F-14 Tomcat fighter.

If interested, check out the shots I took of the flyover from last years Fleet Week. Took these from the roof of the building I work at in Washington Heights.

it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

Cunningham Park is on Union Turnpike in Fresh Meadows. Grand Central to Francis Lewis Blvd North, make a left on Union and you'll see it immediately on your left.

I saw the three CH-46's flying pretty low over the East River earlier today around 2pm. Hadn't realized that fleet week was coming up. Now their formation makes more sense.
