Apparently Delta will be pulling the Dash-8's from JFK in August due to high operating costs. Flights will be replaced by ERJ's and CRJ's.

Good, I never thought the DH8s were Delta's type of aircraft.

We all must have shot some of them over the past year. Now we'll be back to seeing only US Air Dash 8's. Kind of boring!
If I'm not mistaken, this means the end of prop service to JFK?
I'm not so sure. I have seen a couple of Continental Dash-8's into KJFK as well. One never knows.Originally Posted by G-BOAD

As Ken mentioned Continental Connection is now operating Dash-8's into JFK.Originally Posted by G-BOAD

As the Dash-8 passed over, my cigarette fell out of my mouth as I realized it was a Contie Express instead of the usual. Proof positive that EVERYTHING should be shot!
wow that somewhat shocking, well i guess they poked thier new budget with all the commercials and paint jobs, i will miss the dash 8 at KJFK but they were somewhat graceful

Kinda sad, I never enjoyed a Dash-8 so much before!
Thankfully, I got to get pics of and fly on them.

Unfortuenately Freedom is not a very good canidate to fly those planes. I think had they been able to find someone with Dash's it would have lasted.
Freedom's reliability is very questionable in the ERJ operation and than to hand them a set of beautiful Dash-8's is terrible. ASA should have really gotten those planes if you ask me because they have an extensive and reliable record with turboprop airplanes.
Southwest Airlines-"Once it pop's it's time to stop" Southwest Airlines-"Our Shamu's are almost real" Southwest Airlines -"We blow our top real easy" Southwest Airlines- "You can't top us..... really"
What that most likely means is the end of PHL-JFK service yet again!
The routes are going to be replaced with the ERJs, so doubt PHL will go away.Originally Posted by PHL Approach
