    Let's Go Islanders...

Got to the Islander game on Thursday. We were seated directly behind the goal, so shooting was a little tough with the net on the end of the rink, but it was fun to play with the camera. Used the 70-200mm 2.8 lens for all of these, and I was experimenting with shutter speed, ISO, and such.

Nice Pics. They didn't give you any trouble for bringing a camera in? Generally they don't allow "professional" cameras, which is why I left mine at home when I went to the last Islander-Ranger game there.

    Oh yeah....LET'S GO RANGERS!
    Shoot first, ask questions later.

No, I haven't had any problems bringing the camera in. I've had it to a few Islander games, and a number of Dragon games (Arean Football) Usually, they are just impressed by my equipment. Actually, the first time I brought the DSLR & big lens, the guy said "I'm not sure you can bring that in", to which I replied "They always let me" and he let me in.

You would think he would play for the Devils :D

    It's actually pronounced "shuh TAN"

    From the Islander's roster:
    Miroslav Satan
    Born: Topolcany, Czechoslovakia

it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

...is it just me or does that ref dropping the puck look a little fruity?

Nice pics Moose. Haven't thought about bringing the camera to a game, I get a little too emotional and might break it. LOL!
