    SAA to get Thai A340-500's

    Just got this off a.net

Probably now - those JNB to IAD and JFK flights will be non-stop!

I kind of expected that SAA would be picking a few of those up for some ultra long haul. Any bets we see SAA in LA soon?

I doubt LA - I would see the ORD route become a non-stop - there is a very large South African contingent in the MidWest - centered around Chicago/St Louis as well as a large contingent in Florida - as long as they maintain the load factor on JFK and IAD, ORD and maybe MIA maybe added - at a guess.
