JAL Increases NRT-JFK to 13x Weekly For The Summer

For summer 2007 JAL will increase NRT-JFK-NRT from 10x weekly to 13x weekly.

It looks like we will have a JL5/6, JL7/8, and a JL47/48.

JL7 and JL8 are the added flights which will operate on Wednesday, Sunday, and Saturday.

Does JAL tend to do this regulary in the summer? Over the summer I saw a JAL 747-400 arrive around 7:00 PM on 13L.

That 747 you saw landing on 13L, was actually operating JL 48. This flight operates the NRT-JFK-GRU service. JL 8 appears to have the same arrival time as JL48, though it will overnight at JFK, and return the next day to NRT at 1030. Nice that on certain days, three JL 747's will pass through JFK.
