    Southwest hybrid N271LV routings?

Can anyone help me with the route info. for this baby?

WN goes to Islip, which is the closest place they serve around NYC, AFAIK.

This plane is going to mostly stay within Texas routes, so it would be very rare to see this in ISP.

Seeing as ISP has no N/S to texas, it also stats on intra state routes, such as FL, and CA and TX as well as a few interstate routes to Texas, such as DAL-HOU, DAL-STL, HOU-MDW, etc etc.

Thanks. Actually I'm in Florida, it'd be great if I knew when it was coming here.

According to Jet Photos.net " Logbook " for N271WN- It has visited BWI and PHL which are somewhat close to ISP soo theres still a possibility- as Alex also mentioned it stays intra - Texas most of the time but who knows ? It sure would be nice to see it at ISP.

Its been further north than that!

N271WN came up on SBS heading to Manchester NH!

Southwest aren't doing a decent job keeping it in Texas!

And why would they buy a 737-700 and keep it caged? Almost seems a waste of money, and that isn't Southwest's style!

    Hey Geoff:

They are doing this primarily because 271 has a few features that arent on your tipical WN -700

    -Oven galleys

    - 3 Bathrooms- Alex can you confirm?

-No Winglets or Normal WN Paint job

271 will be repainted sometime this year, but as I said earlier WN's equipment can change from time to time, for exmple the -500s are normally intra Texas, and yet I have seen a few lately even at ISP, I guess you just have to be at the right place at the right time.

Southwest is in desperate need to receive as many 737-700's as they can at a fast rate. Two -700 from Ford became available, and they wanted to buy it and immedaitly get it into service to help raise capacity.

WN only just retrofitted them with WN seats, and will focus on redoing the interior by taking out the oven galley, and that stuff.

Winglets will be added at a later time I think this month.

So if anyone has any extra -700's laying around, feel free to give SWA a call!

I notice the customer number for these two aircraft (they have 270 as well) is that of Braathens in Norway, which appears not taken up since they went to Fordair. (I have seen both aircraft with their Bermudan registrations).

I suppose keeping them close to Texas is a good idea, as they hopefully can slip them out of service to do the modifications and refit. Winglets wont take long at all!

Eventually, they will be like the rest of the fleet, and likely to be seen anywhere WN -700s fly!

Since we are in the 260 - 270 range, where are the numbers going after 299? 800? 900?

    All the best

Since SWA did not use all of the 100 series for the 737-200, most of that will be used instead, and perhaps some of the latter -500 numbers after N525, so in this case to note the difference in regards to Regis..

    3/6XX are -300
2,4, 7XX are -700 and possibly N150 and UP (??) will be the new -700's.

I would thin the -800 and -900 series ARE indeed reserved for future possibilties.

I was cutting the grass outside and finally saw it on approach to MCO, late last week.

Weather was cloudy/dark, I still went to see if I could get a crappy long distance takeoff shot and I missed it. It turned around real quick.

She was in Midway on Friday evening. Saw her as I was boarding my flight back to ISP, it was raining and dark out, but you could tell which one it was.

Now that I am in the Orlando Area this might be one I will try to get. Is there any route information out there on when it will be in Orlando again?

When is this plane going to be repainted? Someone on airliners said it would be this month.

By the way is "rudely frisked by TSA cop" the default? I never had anything in there, is this a joke or did someone hijack my account? :D
