Strange sighting

Well, driving to my grandmothers house today, we drove past KGRR, Gerald R. Ford Int. Airport in Grand Rapids. I look out of the window and I see what I think is a 747 (couldn't tell what model or any markings because it was a very low ceiling) climbing out, I checked Flight Aware but couldn't see any 744 flights, I know it was a 744 because of the 4 engines and it wasn't a Rj-185. Anyone know what I could have saw? (No A340 flights either)

Perhaps you mistook it for a Fed Ex A310?

I thought of that, I might have. But for some reason I keep thinking military, the plane looked gray, but I couldn't really say for sure since it was a very low ceiling.

Could it be connected to the death of the airport's presidential namesake?

That was one thing I was thinking, but his body isn't expected to come in until later, it still needs to go to D.C.

Possibly bringing in his property for the museum, or family, or secret service?

If it was grey then it was probably a C-17 if you saw four engines, maybe a C-130.

It wasn't a C-130, it wasn't a prop. It did look like what a C-17 looks like, that might be what it was, thanks Gordon for your help, i'm not good with Military planes :D.

It looked like this only in a rapid climb and at a different angle to me, and not as good weather conditions :D (and I thought the wings were on the bottom of the fuselage, it was kind of hard for me to see, but they were on the top apperently):

Most likely a C17 delivering Secret Service equipment for the funeral, which takes place on Wednesday.

Well, the sightings are getting even wierder now, I have seen about 5 jets today alone baring Military markings that I normally don't see (i'm not good at military, so I couldn't tell you what they are). A few Appachie (sp?) heli's flew over my house too.
