16 Dec @ EWR with great friends and good wx.

Well I finally made good on an invitation to come spot at EWR. Since I don't usually get a moment to share pics here, here's a glimpse of what the day brought. It was a great time.

    I love the tiny Airbuses.

Just icing on the cake at day's end!

    with cherries and sprinkles too!

Once these MD's are gone, the skies are going to be so much quieter :(

    My first time seeing Jazz

Can't get enough of 3 holers

    Or bold colors either.

I don't care to shoot small jets but I liked the detail in this pic, the pilot and windows and silouhettes of pax on a seemingly empty flight. Don't think this flight broke even, do you?

I paid the CO pilots to cut a nice bank for us ;)

    *sighs* Just marvelous.

Thanks to Senga for helping us catch the A330.

Sometimes, you have to pull back and take it all in. The sound, the smoke, the rumble as those molecules are torn apart in the atmosphere. It's just poetry in motion.

Yep, I've slowly acquired a taste for Airbus. Cool birds.

    First time seeing them.
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.

Great shots Mario! I love the winglet action.

Are the shots taken from Ikea?

Awesome shots Mario, that CAT climbout is off the chain! I, too, would be interested in knowing where you took these from! :)

Most of these were at or near IKEA....Pardon me but I don't know all the spots we hit. I liked IKEA though b/c you could also do a bit of railfanning.

Some were also taken within the airport.

Thanks for the comments. And Senga, thank you again man! Catching the A330 was truly my first suicide mission! I loved everything I got but was glad to get an A310 in those vibrant colours and also loved the CAT and all the great banking that day.

mario, great shots. i love the CO 752W!! sorry i flaked on you guys that morning, i had only gotten home around 3 after working all night and the company i had with me would have gotten very mad if i just ran away for the day. wasn't all that bad though, i got to use my camera but i doubt that the pix i took that day would be of any interest on this site... :)
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

I wish I could've joined you on that trip. I've been trying to get decent EWR pics for years.
