Air Canada emergency landing: 5 hurt

TOKYO, Japan (AP) -- An Air Canada flight en route to Vancouver from the Chinese city of Shanghai made an emergency landing at Tokyo's Narita airport Sunday after encountering turbulence and five people were injured, Kyodo News agency reported.

The Air Canada Flight 38 landed safely at Narita International Airport Sunday night, Kyodo said.

Four passengers and a flight attendant were injured when the plane hit a patch of rough turbulence, Kyodo said.

No other details were immediately available.
