Just checked FLightaware and ElAl 2 made a 180 over Nova Scotia for some reason and came back in on 22 Right. Any ideas?

He left again as ELY002A around 230a, guess this sort of thing happens from time to time but wonder what circumstance would cause them to come all the way back to JFK from up there rather than to land locally.
If it's not an emergent situation, El Al will do more than most to land at an online station (wx diverts into BDL nonwithstanding). On a 742 going TLV-JFK back in 1994, we needed a fuel stop, and instead of heading to a logical YQX, YHZ, BGR, or BOS, we went instead to YMX (Montreal-Mirabel), which was an El Al station at the time, and refuelled with security near the plane and the air marshals carefully watching the doors (I was sitting behind and across the aisle from one).
