Getting from WTC area to JFK for a 9pm flight.

    Hi all,

It's been awhile since I've posted. Hope everyone is well. Been busy at a new job. What's the best way for me to get to JFK from the WTC area this Friday afternoon? I can leave the office no earlier than 5. Has anyone taken the A train to JFK from Manhattan? Is it a long ride? Or should I head to midtown and grab the NY Airport service bus? The only issue with that is that I'd be worried about weekend traffic.

    Thanks!

    Matt

I don't know about the A train...BUT I know that once you're at Jamaica station, the AirTrain is remarkably quick. You don't even have to account for the time it will take you to get to the terminal, because it's no more than 5 minutes.

Take the A. It runs express through Brooklyn and Queens, gets you to the AirTrain at Howard Beach in under 30 minutes from WTC.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9
