First (Real) Photo of a DL Dash 8

No offense to the great modified image that Melanie did a few months ago but here is the first real photo of a Delta Dash 8 thanks to our friend Paul in PHL !

It looks pretty nice but will be upstaged (my view) when US starts painting them in the NC, although no idea when that will be ?

    Cheers

I got a photo of that bird, sitting at Terminal 2 in JFK July 11, 2006. It looked pretty neat up close as I walked over the bridge connecting Terminals 2 and 3. Here it is:

Isn't the APU in the tail? (That's why it's flat?) Idk? Anyone know the Dash 8?

It's in the tail , but the intake and exhaust are on the right side of the fuselage just above the Reg# http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1076681/L/

Freedom Airlines replaced the DHC8 with an ERJ on Wednesday at PHL. The DHC8 returned today.

guys, it's not like the APU really does much for that aircraft. the packs really don't get going until the mains are turned on... but yea, getting on that one is definately going to suck. have yet to see dehavilland put a prop brake on #2 to use that for ground power. saab did it, and it didn't work more often than it did. the only real world working prob brake i know of is on the atr-42/72...
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.
