High quality video clip of a DC-9 smashing into an A319.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

I still can't get over how much the DC-9 rocked that Airbus, and with passengers on both, too.

That was just nuts! It's amazing that the impact did not cause a spark to ignite the jet fuel in the Airbus. I mean, that DC9 cockpit was trashed!

That's an amazing video, you think that's bad...just think if that plane lost its hydraulics five mins before while in flight?? It would have been another UAL 232 all over again.

...and then the DC-9's ability as an aircraft would have been brought into question, and that would start another flood of Airliners.net message board threads all over again!!
