Though many airlines these days feel that they need to change their liveries with almost each flight ( UA, NW, DL etc) many have had the same for 20 years or more AA, IB, AL, and still look great.
What do you feel is the best "old" livery?

Overheard on JFK TOWER - S Turns are fine, U-Turns are bad....
AL's is the far by best it always looks current and looks fantastic on any plane its on.
at the risk of sounding naive, what is AL?
I always liked AAs simplicity.
Also, remember the old NY Air? Red with a white apple, right?
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.

how about LO!!!!
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.
Lot is ok, but only on certain aircraft.
AA is the most timeless. They should never change that. At least keep the polished look and colors forver...maybe change the AA logo.
Iberia is nasty. Those colors only look good on the seats at McDonalds.

I also like KLM something about that 2 tone blue.... oh yeah like this site....

I love the scheme of this site. ;)

AA is great, but I'm a sucker for the old UA colors. The gray top and bold 'Times New Roman' titles just exude professionalism and class (not saying the actual airline follows suit, but hey... :)).

The old UA colors (gray and blue) only looked good on the 727s, I think, and 747s.
Some 757s look good onthem, too, but the 737s and the A320s are just beat.

after a while the old UA colors just look dull.... so do US Airways most of their planes need either a paint job or at least a good washing and a coat of wax they all just seem to have lost their shine.. a plane needs to have a shine to it so the sun can glint off it....

Az is by far the best of the older liveries and by far the most recognizable around the world. Its Italy's calling card and im confident that A on the tail will never go away.
AZ, for sure, the best!
Because good taste never goes out of style!!!!
Bravo Brian, do like those old gray Uniteds too.
Phil, shame on you, X's 2 !
