    Hawiian Airlines at EWR

HAL 767-300 is at EWR. Arrvied last night. Art told me it was for the Raiders football team that play on Sunday. The other side of a Raiders insignia on the nose. This is the best I could do with that damn fence in the way.

    Thanks,
I might try again tomorrow it get the fence out of the way. I tell you its always something else. Right when you get one Obsacle outy of the way another one is put in its place. Only way to get a shot is when it cloudy as well :(
Does anyone know what time this team starts to play tomorrow?
(No I don't care about some silly sport) Just want to get another shot of the aircraft :)

They play the Jets at 1, should be over by 4.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

    Thanks for the info Gotham,
If that game is over at 4pm or so then the plane probably won't depart until after dark. I'm sure there will be plenty of times to get it in the future.

We had a couple of Hawiian Charter DC-10s to JFK in 2002 I believe.

But Oakland Raiders are not coming back to play in NJ in 2005, so this may be it for now.

I would have liked to have gotten one of those DC-10s.

I think they might be out of the fleet now..the DC-10s for HA.

Did one of them come back with half a Ghana color scheme, before Ghana was restricted here? Not sure..

The Hawaiian was parked down by Terminal A this afternoon, not in a good position for photos though.

There were a few unusual (for EWR) cargo movements today. An Arrow Air DC10 right behind the United hangar, 2 Gemini DC10's in the Kalitta spot, plus a BAX DC8 just landing at 130pm. The KittyHawk was sat out on the ramp where the Saudis normally park.

    Mark,
Was the HAL 767 parked in the same place when you saw it?

Mike, its just a matter of time before that team comes back. Hopfully it will arrive during the day next time.

    Hi Senga,

    Yes it was!

Now that I look more closely I realize that you are shooting "backwards" towards the monorail building!

PHX (my hometown) gets a Hawaiian 763 daily, yet every single time I go there I manage to either botch the shot or miss it entirely. This is a plane I'd like to nail someday. Good job Senga.

    Thanks Josh,
I didn't know you were from PHX area. I hope to get a better shot of the HAL 767 someday. That fence just really bothers me. For now I am just glad to see it.
